She told us she got baptized a long time ago when she was 6? so we weren't so sure. also her mom was a member and she is on the records in the other stake but Mariana wasn't so we were preparing her to be baptized.
About 45 minutes ago we got a call from the office that they found her records and that she was baptized when she was 8. So, we won't be having a baptism this Saturday. But she does seem excited to be coming back to church. And she was very excited that the church hadn't forgotten about her.
We also have had some good experiences teaching this week. First off we were with man who's about 65 years old named Bonifacil. He stopped going to church a while back but knows that he needs to be coming back. He likes to dance but there was one guy at the dance he goes to said he wanted to fight him. He was asking us for advice on how he could handle the situation. He didn't want to fight the guy but didn't want to be called a coward either. He asked what he should do and we shared the scripture in Alma 38 verse 5 that says
And now my son, Shiblon, I would that ye should remember, that as much as ye shall put your trust in God even so much ye shall be delivered out of your trials, and your troubles, and your afflictions, and ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
He said I just had the thought come to me to pray. it is amazing how The spirit will step in and help out where we are weak. My companion then thought of the way more direct scripture in chapter 37
37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
Even though we didn't share that scripture first He was able to get the answer from the spirit that he needed. I don't think he has said a prayer in a while so that was good for him to remember.
We also were able to have a very good lesson with one of the youth of the ward she hasn't been coming very often to church and we were able to explain how important the sacrament is to take every week. She came to church for sacrament meeting yesterday.
So in the end even though our 'investigator' got baptized 20 years ago we had a very good week.

P.S. This week was actually really warm. we left in short sleeves every day and we ran the air conditioning most nights. We also got news that we will be able to eat with the members again. yay.
