We can decide.

This week we found a new investigator named Hermana Espindola. She says she never went to get to know another church until recently and she is liking what we teach. It always is interesting to me to see when the people already understand a lot of the truths that the gospel brings.
She is reading the Book of Mormon and is trying to get up the courage to go to church. Pray for her though. her sister told her we are wolves in sheeps clothing.
We also have been working in a newer part of the area where it seems like missionaries haven't gone quite as much. we are working there and with a neighborhood where there are a ton of people that are members of the church that don't go that often. I am also starting to learn where things are in the area.
We had some very good experiences this week as well. We were able to help a woman out who was baptized 40 years ago but hasn't gone since her mom got sick. she said that the members didn't visit her as much as she had expected when her mom got sick. She said that she feels that there is a hole there that can't be healed.
I thought hard and said a prayer scilently that I would be able to think of a scripture in the book of mormon that would help her.
2 Nephi 5: 10 and 11 about how the lord was with his people came to my mind and she was able to understand and come maybe one step closer to coming back to church again.
The Book of Mormon really is the keystone of our religion and studying it can really help us unlock more of the power of the atonement. We will reep the seed we sow wether it be good or bad. We can decide.
Love,
Elder Dallin Skouson
